Frequently asked questions

Rising Tides Collective hosts two OPEN gallery exhibits each year at the Schooner Gallery location. These exhibits are open to any artist of any age. We post Calls for Artwork on our website and in our newsletter and social media. We ask that each artist fill out paperwork with contact information and to maintain an accurate chain of custody. We also ask that the artists deliver and retrieve their work within the dates stated in that document. We also offer two jurying periods each year, in the spring and summer, for artists interested in being featured in our gift shop. Submissions are reviewed by members of our Board of Directors, and artists whose work is not accepted are offered helpful, constructive feedback.

We happily welcome volunteers to join us and become part of what we’re building. There are many ways to lend a hand—from working the counter at either of our shop locations, helping set up receptions for our gallery exhibits, providing refreshments or fresh flowers for receptions, to assisting with workshops and special events. And if you have a special skill or expertise—whether it’s accounting, carpentry, gardening, photography, marketing, organizing, or something else—we’d love to hear from you. There may be a perfect way for your talents to help support our work.Whether you have an hour to spare, a particular skill to share, or simply want to pitch in and be part of our community, we’d love to talk with you!
